ThE QuaRtet

“An energy never seen in the string quartet genre. The communication is so alive and so beautiful to watch, generously giving the audience access to the splendors of the score.”

Hubert Stoecklin, ClassiqueNews

« A convincing style and plenty of vitality: do not lose sight of the Monas. »

Bertrand Boissard, Diapason

The Mona Quartet aim to develop the great art of classical string quartet while promoting diversity, inclusion and building bridges between arts and cultures. Their common passion for the string quartet repertoire but also the versatility of their international careers is what brought Elina, Charlotte, Arianna and Christine from Latvia, France, America and Korea together. The transversality of artistic disciplines as well as the constant balance between the established repertoire and the rediscovery of lesser-known works of women composers and contemporary composers is the heart of their project. Based in Paris, the quartet began its musical journey with eminent professors such as Günter Pichler at the Escuela Superior Reina Sofia in Madrid, François Salque at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, as well as receiving guidance from Mathieu Herzog and the Modigliani Quartet.
